Pyrrhic
Pyrrhic you
And your victory that is
Mate
An enemy awaits and the
War grinds on
You can stand and cheer and accept
All the praise and the medals
Of those misled smiles beneath
You can gloat all you want but remember
Remember Pyrrhus
At least he knew the score right off
He didn't bask and roar
Unlike you
Mate
You gotta climb down off there soon
See what comes
What aid
The armour of rose petals and boasts
Grants you

Cries of War
The clouding of hearts and the
Accompanying
Rising fear that settles like
A mist to obscure the views of
Better times and dreams past and future tense
Like dust
Like locusts that blot out the sun
These obstruct desires and intelligence alike
Vision an' plans an' thoughts an' streams
Consciousness
Accomplices I seek and the
Establishment of alibis for
Imminent crimes
Seeking kin akin for the time inevitable
When the mist rises
The dust settles and
The season of the insect
Declines
I will have weathered
Endured
Remain unaltered
The changing of the course of winds
Rains to baptize
Rising from the mire and dirt
Lungs filling
To let loose
Cries of war
Accompanying
Rising fear that settles like
A mist to obscure the views of
Better times and dreams past and future tense
Like dust
Like locusts that blot out the sun
These obstruct desires and intelligence alike
Vision an' plans an' thoughts an' streams
Consciousness
Accomplices I seek and the
Establishment of alibis for
Imminent crimes
Seeking kin akin for the time inevitable
When the mist rises
The dust settles and
The season of the insect
Declines
I will have weathered
Endured
Remain unaltered
The changing of the course of winds
Rains to baptize
Rising from the mire and dirt
Lungs filling
To let loose
Cries of war
