It stings my eyes when I

Reach out and stroke it

It collects anger and indignation

In the folds and cracks

Where it gathers

Where it drips

At such an unusual time

Your condition presents

Your ambition I dare say

Is coming to fruition

Unusual timing

Better to retreat in the face of

Such attrition

Or compromise

You're in no condition

For such ambition

It stings my eyes

However this situation is fluid
