Failure to Act
Who would have thought
Failure to act
To do a thing
Would fill one with
Such a sense
Satisfaction
Failure to act
To resist the lure
Of long time habit
Resistance of an action
Who would have thought
This could engender
A kind of happiness
Failure to act

Like a Fist Strike to the Jaw
Last and first and in between
Always there and far from here
Never forgetting seldom seen
You cannot come or intervene
There and near and far from clear
Send me somewhere far from here
First and last and in between
I cannot run I cannot scream
You will not aid or intervene
Cancel fear or breach the scene
I cannot seem to find the thought
All this hope is over wrought
Last and far and near from naught
Your sense of self you are self taught
No matter who becomes distraught
So far from me how can it be
A glance from you I cannot see
Like a fist strike to the jaw
Turmoil in a glass
Chilled like revenge
Coarse like first love
Pinned down
Like an insect in a box
Caught like a fist in the jaw

Acquisition Madame
You are talent
Said the Acquisition Madame
But you can't be in love
As when so afflicted
You make bad poetry and awkward movements in general
Please shake free of it like the dogs when watered
And remove this break to your talent throttle Sir or
I can't use you at all
Or even one bit
As you no longer equal
Talent
When so afflicted with this disease and detriment
You become lesser-than
Like a sideways V pointing west
And my purpose and profession is that acquisition called
Talent
It says it right there on the door stenciled nicely
As everyone and even you can read
When perambulating through it to this here office desk which you sit
Parameters being what they be
Talent being that
Which I seek
So please fall out of said cause and or affliction
Forthwith
Said the Acquisition Madame
