Second Chance Vaccine

You must give me some of that

Second chance vaccine

A prescription to

The one they are all

Talking about gossiping about

The one the others said

Ain't for no-bodies

Ain't for no-things

Ain't for ones

Like me

But

Give me some of that

Second chance elixir

Anyways

The one that makes it make you

Repeat the inevitable

Retreat from your verbiage so antagonistic

To my heart and general

Well-being

Makes you

Retread all my entreaties and

Excuses

Rewind this game

Though it always plays out the same

Give me some a little of your time

Some of that

A little piece of your mind

Some of that second chance potion

So you might get new notions

Or better yet old ones

And maybe take me back

But then again all these

Second chance vaccines may just be

Pipe dreams

But and regardless

If you could just gimme some

Some of that second chance vaccine

So I'll  build up maybe some

Resistance to you

And all the things you do

That would be in essence

A way to suppress your presence in my

Rushing thoughts and wayward heart

Some of that please

That second chance vaccine
