There's a Black Spot There

There's a black spot there
On your soul, man
As in rot or even
I E mildew
It's starting to smell
Your soul that is
It irritates the senses
My sensory machinery
Is unhappy and
Overwhelmed
And you've leaked some
Over all over
There
It's lying there trembling
A puddle on the floor
Clean up your soul, darling
Clean up your face
Place of
Refuge
Grab some respect and stop your
Drooling
And that black spot won't come out
I know and, erragh, I know
Mine too is
Long lasting
Tarnish though
And not gangrene -ish
Like yours
And leaking there
Out and onto
The upholstery

Down to the Shed (Where all the Demons Head)

I want to
Greet you and meet you
Sweep you away
Take you down to the shed
Down to the old shed
Where all the demons head
Where they dance and plead victim
Where they drink and seek wisdom
And none know what's in store
Chastisement parked abandoned
Outside the door

Come here sweet mystery
And climb into my head
Let me take your arm
Down to that old shed
Where the merry are led
Where the demons head
To drink away their pain
And seldom do abstain
Down back near the old creek
Where it's dark and warm
Where all are safe from harm

I need to see you
By bonfire light
Sweep you away into the night
Take you down
Down to the old shed
Where all the demons head
And no one speaks of the dead
But of life, and where Bacchus rules
The dance is free of Christian loathing
Dancers soon bereft of clothing
Sweating and gyrating to the horns of pan

Baby I need to
See you and press against you
Take you down the secret ways
Down to the shed
Where all the demons head
Libations for the duration
Leave your troubles at the door
Pound some drinks and hit the floor
Back down to the shed
Where the guilty have all fled
And innocence is all but dead

Imminent Disaster

Too much of sin
Of wine
Of enemies
Too many gambles and
Too many hard lines drawn
Hard times too
And cracks in walls
Through which one can hear
The baying of beasts
Jackal laughter
Women's sobs and
Imminent disaster
Too much of wine
Now old, unpretty
And in decline
Disappointed and at a
Loss
Too much of sin
Grant me more wine
Let me break free
The torment of love's
Unfailing design
Just grant me your laughter
And all your misgivings
Grant me your sobs
And Imminent
Disaster

Frank's Night Out

Crush it, crush a can
Kill a zombie when he
Look at you wrong
Take your time with him as
The night is long
And entertainment not overly
Abundant
Brews and whiskey shots
Baseball bat for the stagger walk
Home
Rough a minor deity along the path
For his wallet
Which was empty!
Times these is
Hard times all
Crush it, crush another can
Sittin' on a roadside grave
Singin' to myself
Stagger more staggered
Walk
Pass the demon Mars
Give in, give him
Toll sips from
Our flask
Discretion there better than
Valour
Crush it crush
A final can... home

Grey Eyes

She has grey eyes that calm
And put my thoughts to sea
Little tongue
Casts a spell
When flicked
Forked Goddess
She reaches
In to the interior
In to my hemispheres
She makes me cry
Aloud
Envelopes me like a
Shroud
Her moans are weapons
They disarm
Her eyes so calm
They do more harm
To my ego and efforts of
Self preservation
Than good
Her allure
Is none too pure
An' I like it that way
Puts all thoughts
Of resistance
To sea
Calm grey eyes won't let
Me be

Tongue and Talon

It is the old wound
The one that refuses to heal
The one whose scars form
An identifying match
To your tongue and talon
This the one which
Troubles
Out of a list longer than
All my fears and dreams
It stands out in indignation
Cries for closure
Or at the least
Revenge
The old wound
Constant reminder of you
Your cunning intellect
The beauty of your weaponry
A wound only your
Tongue and talon
Can heal
Embrace me once more
Come back to my arms
So I may grant you
Love or death

Shadows of Light

I seek
No sparkles
Nor bubbles
I seek the light
Of truth
Yet only for
The shadows
It does cast

I seek strange ways
And Brighter paths
Lit only
By these Shadows
Alone
I shall walk
Guided by these
Shadows of Light

Medium Rare

She passes and the dust is moved
She glances and the amber hewn
Down
Carving up my excuses
Cutting up the past
Plying me with mooses
In a trilogy of herbivores
Of which she takes such a store
Her love affair with herbivores
Medium rare
Is quite well known
As the dust is moved
With her passing
And the amber screwed
And she's laughing
I wish you could hear the score
Of their bleets
The trilogy of
Herbivores
As she passes
Affixing me
With glances
Hot enough to make romances
Just hot enough to cook herbivores
Medium rare

In the Forest

Come and light the candles and
We'll walk the forests free
From fear and holding hands will
Stoop to study smile and see
The tiny wonders of the earth then
Fall
Into one another's arms
All the while disregarding
The vanishing light of candles
As we heat the earth with our
Licking flames of lust
As we sink and swim our way
Into the darkness
In to love
In the forest
