Outside the Walls

We are the un-sated and our
Bellies are full to bursting
With diamonds and coal lumps
And apple cores and piano keys
With catacombs and lost ones calling out
Therein
We are the forever outside
Not looking in
Churning forth and such froth
As the tempest seas
We are the mockers of fate and the failed dreams
The ill satisfied and the un-redeemed
We stand our ground against the roar
However; however
We stand and fight against the viable
Our teeth we clench in wryness
Pulling booze from flasks
Pretending to check the time on broken
Time pieces
Our bellies are full to bursting
With swallowed lies
Forced compromise
And shuttered pride
Un-sated
Standing our ground against the push
Outside the walls
Not looking in

Ensconced

Ensconced in the belly of my
Enemy who remains
My lover
Who refrains from digesting
Many of my praises as
She distills them instead
Making potent brew
Making toxic stew
My lover she serves them to
Unknowing passersby
Mischievous glint
In both of her eyes
My lover and enemy both
Ensconced as I am
In her belly
Where it is warm
And I dance with
Parasites
Ensconced and romanced into
The belly of my lover
Who becomes my enemy I so embrace
From within
Despite the technicalities
Difficulties in achieving this
Ensconced as I am
In the belly of
My lover who remains
My enemy

Butterflies and Bubbles

I am under duress as a direct result
Of the breath from your kiss and also your eyes
Which hiss such sparks and appetite to cause
My stomach to clench up tight
So full it is my cavity to burst
With butterflies and thoughts of regicide
For how else could I obtain anyone
As wondrous and lovely as you
Without myself first becoming king?
Oh the depravities I would enlist in the cause
Of curing me of such duress and ailments
The swing of your hips inflict

I am under stress as the direct assault of your body
Parades before me in all its glory
Such perfection breeds addiction
Genuflection
Brings out the sweats, warrants tender scrutiny and
Attention
But now bent double and breathing out bubbles
Spheres I must re-imbibe
In order to survive
Guarded hopes and dreams running amok
Butterflies and bubbles
No end to troubles

Such a test of will the chaotic tumult
Your legs about me achieves
An interdiction of such precision
While your tender laughter brings
Near disaster
So musical, elegant and light
And your blazing eyes and tender smile
Afflict me for miles and miles
Proximity no defence against them either
Your perfect teeth biting my neck
Splendid torture which removes my breath
And of my defences nothing left

The Siren Smoulder

I am the breath that gives you
Shivers on a hot day
I am the antidote to your
Untold hope
Dreamer of seascapes and
The glint of your eyes
Visions of reptiles and inhuman cries
I am the captain of
Ill repute
The deft touch
The siren smoulder
I am far and when you least expect
Deadly touch close
The violet eye
The violent cry
And the tenebrous heart
Cycling and with growing
Pace, speed an' venom
I am the mist that makes things
Unclear and dressed to the nines in
Elegant subterfuge
Alarming at my rate of scale
Disarming with my slackened sails
Cling on and do not regret
We shall protect one another
From all harm
Press your head near my beating heart
My pounding pulse and
Make us warm
I am the captain and I am
The shedder of fears
Siren smoulder of the
Violet eye

Insist and Persist (a poem of fiction)

Why do you insist and persist
In fleeing my attention
You're getting blood
All over the carpet
I just bought that carpet
It's shag and cost me
Four hundred dollars
And you are getting your
Blood all over the carpet
Why you insist and persist
In crawling away
When I am being
So very attentive
Sharply attentive
You knocked over the arm chair too
And there is blood all over the tiles
And the worst thing blood
All over the brand new carpet
Why do you persist and insist
In committing such crimes
Is it the sharpening sounds
Causing you distress
Clean cuts like a clean floor
Next to godliness
And that door you struggle with is locked
And you're slipping on the floor
Come back here my dear
And we'll cut you to sleep

Your Beauty is a Knife Blade

Your beauty is a daunting endeavour
It forces my hand
And causes acts of anxiety
Traffic accidents no doubt too
When you cross the streets
Your beauty it lingers and
Conspires against me
It stings my mind and encompasses
Far too much attention
Your scorn is freely offered
A side dish
Your scorn is available
At a bulk discount
Kindness in its stead
For those others teeming
And becking your call
Your beauty is a knife blade
Double edged and platinum
Effecting and infecting
A disheveled wound my mind
And very slow to heal

My Laundry Lover

Oh baby, oh my true love
Come and see me and let me bathe in your tranquil sighs
Come and touch me and let me dance along your ever widening thighs
Come and kiss me and then let us slowly embrace
Come and face me and then let us do the interface
And then, oh my love
And then my precious dear
And then...
And then...
Do my laundry for me
And fold it and put it neatly away
For meeeeeeeeeeee
If you love meeeeeeeeee
Like I love meeeeeeeee, I mean you
You'll come and visit and do
My laundry for me

Windswept Hills

Kiss the skull for good luck
And tussle its straggly hair
Heads on posts and
Grudge holding ghosts
Wailing on the wind swept hills
They grin and stare
Maws agape
Leering full of hate
Freely giving
Passersbye the chills
Wailing as they do
On the windswept hills
But kiss a skull when you pass
To avoid ill luck and
Have no truck with
Curses against them or suffer
Saccharine reverses
And evil perverses
The likes of which you not soon forget
Much ado about regret
Lick a skull for good measure
Those who seek treasure
Or you might end up joining them
You might end up owning a
Lonesome post yourself
As other things more dangerous than these
Slow moaning ghosts
Lurk in the windswept hills

Your Love is Like a Landmine

Your love is like a landmine I have stepped on
and now cannot move for fear of oblivion
While your kiss is like slow death
But pleasurable and memorable and
Your thighs are best left un-thought of
Such a prison of perfect precision when they are
Wrapped about me
Your love is
Like a a pitcher plant I have no want
Of escaping even if
This was plausible
And your eyes of ice
Grey with speckles of lonesome decay
Your eyes full of mischief and vice
They pin me down
Pierce me with scalpel-like zeal
So sharp
I feel no pain
Your love is like a landmine
Paralyzing
And now I cannot move for fear of
Oblivion

I am Broken

I am broken
Just like you
Twisted and pulled apart
Stripped and teeth barred
Snarls of defiance
Tremulous tears
And rueful
And you too are broken
You also show strains
It magnifies your attractive qualities
Your essence leaks out
All over the floor and makes things
Sticky
Broken
Just like me
We are thieves unto one another
Slipping into each other's
Cracks and breaches
We are fools, also
And will fight to ill ends
I am broken
Stripped and teeth barred
Just as you

In the Shadowy Corridors of Power

And waiting and watching
From the corners, sidelines, and from the
Shadowy corridors of power
Here where beauty roams
Arm in arm with malice
and honour is a rarity
Blushing, powerless and cast down
Pitiable and derided by all and sunder
By the arrogant and haughty
Who's birthright has brought them command
Who's taunts and laughter crack the backs of innocents
Like barbed whips
Shadowy corridors of power
Where the ruling class lisp and curse
Where knives are ever hidden clutched and
Murder is the preferred option to discourse
Power plays and sultry rays
Justice on the take
In the shadowy corridors of power
And waiting and watching
Well hid but irrevocable
The burning ember of the truth
Looks out of place until wisely
Well heeled boots brought to bare
Crush down to snuff it out

I Just Want to Hold You

I just want to hold you
And gently
Breathe upon your skin
And gently
Kiss every inch of your body
Twice
I want to hold you and waste away the day
Kissing your shoulders and staring
Deep into your
Depthless eyes of golden brown
Making you laugh/sigh
Making you tremble/shiver
In anticipation of
Touches to come
I just want to hold you
I just need your touch

Alter Your States

Alter your states through pleasure laced with wine
And other things made sinful by the righteous man
Take my hand in yours and walk with me
Through Elysian fields awash in gold and splendour
We shall kiss and taste each other's hopes and fears
We shall embrace and become one
Snaking our bodies together to the beginnings of wonder and
Echo thoughts of love

Alter your states through
The inebriation of fine poetry and literature
And other things made harmful by the ruling man
Alchemy shall set us free
And the naked dance joining us
Our eyes only placed
To see one another
We shall embrace and lick at one another's tears

Echo your fates entwine them in mine
Swimming through the ooze
Elysian fields of our own design
Give birth to such swollen, burgeoning ideals
Hopes of truce and a chance to
Touch your perfect naked skin
Alter your states through the heat of our touch
My mind racing, heart pounding

As we leap from the precipice
Arm in arm

I Was So Looking Forward

I was so looking forward
To holding your waist
Strolling in arm
Kissing your wrists
Biting your neck
Making you moan
I was excited to think of
Hearing you sigh
Stirring the gleam
In your beautiful eyes
I was so looking forward
To falling in love
Sharing silences and stares
Reading and writing
In the garden
I was so looking forward to
Making you moan
Making you groan and
Playfully hit me
Making you smile and
Kissing your tears
When things went awry
I was so looking forward
I forgot to look down
I forgot to hold on
And now you are gone

Curled Up in a Tiny Ball

Curled up in a tiny ball and
Clutching my neck I want your
Beautiful lips pursed and your
Endearing faux mischief squint
My eyes filled with
Want and smiling desire
I want your arms and my hands upon them
I want your tongue dancing
Flicking between clever things to say
Your gaze burning fixed upon me
I want all of your desire
Your interest and your hope
I want your tattooed kiss
Irrevocable upon my skin
I want your arm to walk with
And your thoughts to dwell and slumber in
Your lithe sly sways to capture me
Your smile arrest and confiscate
All you desire from me
Let us
Dance across the wastes
Of dead parking lots
And rainswept hills
Give me
Your lips to brush against
Your smiling and shy heart also
Curled up in a tiny ball and
To be mine

The Pusher

Cut a swathe through all
Your hearts of doubt and fear
And sell it to me and
At a discount
Sell me too your dishonour and that bile
You keep re-swallowing and
Repressing
Sell me spleen whenever you get around to
Venting it
The white kind is best
Better than cocaine
And sell me the little black things
That decorate your soul
Your discretion or lack thereof
I am seeking whole sale
These things you need to release
These things you need to unclench and
Let go
Cut a swathe through it all
All your fear and doubt
Sell these to me and
At a discount
I'll push it to
Those who like their dreams soaked
With the excretions of sinners
such as you
